Morning Traffic Reporter job @ Westchester TV news station

News 12 Networks is the country's first, largest, and most watched 24-hour local television news network. The Network is made up of 7 individual local news channels serving the areas of Long Island, New Jersey, Southwestern Connecticut, Westchester County, Hudson Valley, the Bronx, and Brooklyn. News 12 Networks, owned and operated by Cablevision Systems Corporation, is a cable exclusive service, reaching approximately 3.8 million households in the New York market.

News 12 Westchester has an opportunity for the right person to be part of the on-air morning news team of the specific News 12 location. They will be responsible for gathering traffic incident information, and creating accurate, informative, visually interesting and well-presented traffic reports. They will produce and present on-camera traffic reports with a clean, smooth delivery and an easy to understand and logically ordered presentation in a manner that is clear, relevant and meaningful to viewers of News 12. They must present traffic information across all platforms in a way that connects with viewers.

Ideal candidate should have some experience in on-air news or traffic incident reporting. Must have knowledge of the roadways in the tri-state area. Must have strong computer and graphic skills as well as excellent script writing, on-camera performance, news judgment, and analytical abilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Cablevision is an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.
