PCWorld/Macworld , computer magazines that reach 22 million people per month between their website and print editions, seeks a talented, motivated intern to join its editorial team in the PCWorld/Macworld Lab. The intern will be tasked with assisting lab staff with their daily tasks, helping to evaluate computer hardware, writing for publication online and in print, and studio photography assistance. The intern will also pitch, research and write blog entries and product reviews as well as participating in our Twitter, Facebook, and other social networking efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, including Windows- and Mac-based desktops and laptops, cameras and printers as well as some journalism or other writing experience. Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 lbs in order to move PCs, HDTVs, and other heavy equipment.

Candidates who are currently enrolled in a college journalism or writing program are preferred, though we will consider students in any discipline, along with recent graduates or career changers. This is a six- to nine-month on-site internship at PCWorld/Macworld's offices in San Francisco. The work week is flexible, but will not exceed 20 hours/week, at a pay rate of $10/hour. In addition, college credit is available to interns attending participating universities.

Please submit a resume, cover letter and sample of your writing to jobopps@pcworld.com, and reference ‘Lab Intern’ in the subject.
