Maclean’s, a 350,000-circulation newsweekly magazine in Canada, is accepting applications for a one year paid journalism internship in its Toronto office.

"Interns are fulltime entry-level journalists who attend story meetings and pitch ideas for publication along with other members of the editorial staff, as well as research, report and write stories for the print magazine and the website," the ad states. "Interns are expected to contribute to larger efforts such as special projects and cover articles.”

The paid internship begins in May at an annual rate of $22,500.

To apply, mail or fax your CV (with references and contact info) and four samples of published works (not opinion pieces) to:

John Intini, Senior Editor, Maclean’s / One Mount Pleasant Rd., 11th Floor / Toronto, Ont. M4Y 2Y5.

The magazine doesn’t accept applications via email. Deadline is March 15th and decisions will be made by April 1st.
