Freelance journalism jobs @ Stuart (FL) News

The Stuart News, a 40,000 circulation daily newspaper near Port St. Lucie, Florida, has part-time freelance opportunities in the following areas:

  • News reporting -- Reporters with journalism experience in the areas of local government reporting, environmental reporting and court/legal news reporting. Include samples of your published work.
  • Business reporting -- Reporters with journalism experience to cover a variety of business topics. Include samples of your published work.
  • News feature reporting -- Experienced writers with journalism experience to produce in-depth stories on assigned regional topics. Include samples of your published work.
  • News photographers -- You must have professional camera equipment with varying lenses, a laptop with wireless capabilities for sending pictures from the field and a background in photojournalism. Include samples of your work.
  • Barefoot Bay -- News correspondent to cover the Barefoot Bay/Micco community area of south Brevard County. Ideal candidate is a resident of that area. Include samples of your writing.
  • Jupiter area -- News correspondent to cover the Jupiter area. Ideal candidate is a resident of that area. Include samples of your writing.
