Paid 6-month photojournalism internship @ Kansas newspaper

The Hutchinson News, a 30,000 circulation newspaper covering all of southwest and south-central Kansas, is offering a paid 6-month photojournalism internship.

College photojournalism students with two years of college experience and recent graduates will be considered. The candidate will be treated as a staff photographer working 40-hour weeks during the paid internship. The candidate will work closely with the photo editor and staff photographers. The candidate will travel and transmit photos from remote locations, prepare images for publication, and generate their own photo ideas. Multi-media experience is desired but not required. The candidate must have reliable transportation. Candidates will supply their own digital equipment.

The next internship opportunity runs from June to December. Deadline to apply is March 1st.
