Paid business journalism internships

The Motley Fool, a popular news website about stocks, investing, and personal finance, is offering summer internships in their Washington, D.C. area office that pay $18 per hour. Here are the details:

Investing is not just all about Wall Street and stuffy business suits. In fact, at The Motley Fool, it is nothing like that. Enter a world where our analysts sit on exercise balls at their desks and wear flip flops, where the colors green, red, blue and yellow mean something more than a set of primary colors plus one; where Elvis IS in the building; and where investing gumption comes from a passion of researching good companies and not just following the stock market as a game. This world is not far, far away, but right in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.

If you are an investing nerd, we are the Urkels of the bunch, but without the laugh and the snorting. Our investing talent is the best in the world. If you love investing with a capital L, and find it hard not to be inclined to study the ins and outs of the stock market, here’s your opportunity – a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, we might add – to take your skills to the next level with study, practice and hands-on application in an exciting, and fun work environment.

Applications are due March 15. The Foolish Summer Internship runs from June 13th through August 5th, 2011.
