Paid internships @ Tallahassee media outlet

Sunshine State News—the premier political and business news organization in Florida—offers exciting internship opportunities year-round for motivated college students. The successful intern will demonstrate his/her ability to learn quickly and be flexible in handling many responsibilities in a nimble newsroom. In return, he/she will have a chance to receive professional editing/critique and develop confidence, new skills, a work "rhythm" and a portfolio.

Internships may be offered in one or more of the following areas: editor/newsroom management; graphic design; news writing; politics; research/investigation; video reporting/production; and web producing. Interns will have the opportunity to learn from a variety of assignments.

Applicants majoring in communication, print or broadcast journalism, or related field will be considered. Internship programs are intended for students who have completed their sophomore or junior year of college, though strong applications from recent graduates and graduate students will be considered. Applicants must also be able to devote 24 hours per week.

A weekly stipend will be available.
