Paid investigative journalism internships
- The Center for Public Integrity, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that produces original, investigative journalism on issues of public concern, is offering a 10-week paid summer internship for undergraduate and graduate students or recent graduates. - Paid 8-week summer internships that involve investigative writing assignments at state-level, public policy think tanks and independent, non-profit newsrooms are available through the Institute on Humane Studies. In addition to a $3,200 stipend, the internship provides a week-long professional workshop, "Journalism & the Free Society," and mentoring from industry professionals. Potential internship hosts include: CalWatchdog in Sacramento, CA; The Carolina Journal in Raleigh, NC; The Pennsylvania Independent in Harrisburg, PA; and Texas Watchdog, Houston, Texas.
