Paid journalism internship @ Seattle publication
Equal Voice Newspaper -- an online, weekly paper for low-income, working people about issues that concern them, such as immigration reform, health care, and incarceration -- is offering a paid internship.
Position is based in Seattle, runs from February to May, involves working 15 hours per week, provides a $1,000 stipend and bus pass, and a letter of recommendation. Intern is also eligible to receive college credit. Candidates can be undergraduate or graduate and must have an interest in journalism.
Internship Duties:
• Pitch, research and write stories
• Attend weekly editorial meetings
• Shoot and edit photos and video
• Cover issues concerning low-income families
