Paid internships @ Washingtonian magazine

Washingtonian, a monthly magazine read by 400,000 people in the D.C. area, is offering year-round paid internships to college students and recent graduates.

Internships are five months long in Spring and Summer and four months long during the Fall. Editorial interns work full-time and are paid $8.25 per hour. Photography and online editing internships are also available.

We offer an experience that's low on grunt work and high on opportunity. Duties include fact checking, research, and writing. Editors, writers, and department heads frequently meet with interns to discuss their roles at the magazine and careers in journalism. Interns also have the chance to write for the magazine's online and print editions. Graduates of our program have gone on to publications such as Vanity Fair, People, Entertainment Weekly, National Geographic, Allure, Martha Stewart Everyday Food, Politico, and USA Today (as well as landed full-time jobs at Washingtonian)."

To apply, please MAIL a cover letter, resume, three published clips, and a list of references to Michael Gaynor at: The Washingtonian 1828 L St., NW, Suite 200 Washington, DC 20036 Questions?
