Paid internships @ Wisconsin newspaper
The Kenosha News, a 30,000-circulation daily newspaper in southeastern Wisconsin, is seeking two reporting interns for summer 2011.
Job requirements: Must be a sophomore, junior or senior in the journalism program. Must have some experience working for a college or professional publication. Available to work a variety of shifts - days, nights and weekends.
Job responsibilities: Researching and writing news stories. Covering variety of beats, including police, government and major summer events, such as county fair and multi-day country music festival. Opportunity to work on copy desk designing pages and editing stories.
To apply: Send a cover letter, resume and about 5-7 published news clips, showing a range of experience (hard news, features, etc.). Application deadline is March 1. Selected interviews will begin soon after that. Send materials to David Walter at dwalter@kenoshanews.com.
