Paid features intern @ CNN.com

CNN.com is offering a paid editorial internship this summer in its Features section.

The 12-week internship is based in Atlanta and pays minimum wage. College credits also available. Applicants must have completed at least sophomore year of college and be enrolled in college or graduate school.

CNN.com/feature section is responsible for both breaking news and enterprise stories for CNN.com. It covers the sections and topics of Health, Tech, Showbiz, Travel and Living news. The intern will work with the sections supervisor and the six section editors, as well as the rest of the newsroom including iReport and associate producers.

Internship Description: The Features intern for the Living, Travel and Food blog areas of the website must provide a wealth of story and interactive ideas for the team, be a strong writer and a quick learner. In addition to contributing stories, galleries and other multimedia to the sections, this person will also work on producing interactive story templates. The Features intern for Entertainment, Tech and Health should be interested in helping with stories on entertainment/showbiz, health/medical, and technology/social media. The Newsdesk editorial intern will gain experience across and contribute to CNN’s digital news production from blogs and the iPhone app, to the website. The intern will ideally have strong news awareness with experience in reporting, writing, getting still and video images and show interest in the myriad ways of storytelling now possible in the digital world. The Newsdesk intern must be willing to offer creative ideas for coverage, while pitching in with any additional work that might be needed on busy days.
