Paid work-from-home internship @ Newser

Newser, a popular website that summarizes of top news from other media outlets, is offering a few paid spring/summer internships. Telecommuting is allowed.

We’re on the hunt for upper-level undergrads and recent grads who want to be completely immersed in news, have an ear for concise/punchy writing, are grammar sticklers, and are comfortable with and capable of working virtually. This is an unpaid, for-credit internship for undergrads, but we'll work with your college's requirements and you'll get plenty of real-time experience. A small stipend is available, based on the work schedule established, for recent graduates only.

Benefits to you: The spicy resume boost that comes from working for Newser, loads of headline writing and wire-editing experience, SEO training, and plenty of feedback. We’re a virtual team, with editors and writers in Hong Kong, Paris, and Virginia, among other places, so location isn’t an issue. We’re looking for the best young talent, wherever it is.

Start date: Monday, April 4, or anytime thereafter, for a three- to six-month period. Interns must commit to 15 to 40 hours a week—part-time and full-time slots available, and the timing is quite flexible: We need help in the early morning, afternoons, and weekends.

Fit that description? Send us a brief resume, cover letter outlining your interest and availability, and writing sample in an email to jobs@newser.com. Include your name in the subject line.
