Paid internship @ Latin culture website

A website dedicated to covering young Latin culture is offering a paid internship in its Brooklyn office.

Remezcla.com is one of the biggest online sources to young Latin culture with editions in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Francisco, and serves as a domestic and international guide to emerging indie music artists from Latin America. Remezcla covers a wide range of events and trends including concerts, art exhibits, films, and restaurants, always with an entertaining and smart voice.

We're looking for talented, professional, and outgoing individuals (college students welcome) interested in Latin culture and media to give them the opportunity to work with editors in the daily production of the online magazine. This includes: covering events, conducting interviews, writing reviews, maintaining event listings, pitching article ideas, and more.

Requirements: Broad knowledge of and interest in the local Latin cultural scene and/or alternative and emerging Latin music; Excellent writing skills in English (with hootspa!), knowledge of Spanish a plus. Strong computer skills (MS Office); CMS skills a plus; Available to work from 16-40 hours a week in our Williamsburg, Brooklyn headquarters.
