Paid internship @ political news website
Influentialsnetwork.com, a start-up online political news aggregator and commentary site in Washington, D.C., is seeking summer editorial interns. Internships pay $600 per month and telecommuting is OK.
Interns will walk away with experience news content development, political news commentary, public policy communications, and using social media as a journalism tool. This is an exciting internship with a very flexible schedule.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in overall development of business & political sections of the site.
* Covers up-to-date politics, business and related matters as it relates to the site’s target audience demo.
* Identifying trending political news issues/stories and writing political commentary/features on relevant topics.
Experience:
Experience writing news and feature stories -- could consist of college news publications. Preferably you should be a college undergraduate or graduate studying journalism (or a related field).
