Qualifications:
- Passion for writing
- Previous experience reporting, conducting interviews
- Online Media / Journalism major
- Newshound with great research skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Great eye for detail
- Working knowledge of writing for the web, SEO
- Active on Twitter, StumbleUpon and other social media platforms
- Interest / Expertise / Appreciation / Knowledge of NYC Restaurants, Arts & Culture, Nightlife, Shopping and Real Estate
Duties:
- Curate local news
- Pitch / write original stories
- Research
- Attend Community Board meetings
- Promote content / NearSay through social media and street teams
- Secure press passes for events
