Paid newspaper internship for Lake County, Minn. student

The Lake County News-Chronicle, a small weekly newspaper located on the shores of Lake Superior about 40 minutes from Duluth, is offering a paid summer internship. It is available for any Lake County student who is in high school right now, including this Spring’s graduates.

Intern will work 20 hours a week for 10 weeks, June through August. The hours you work will depend on story assignments and other duties. There’s variety here, it’s not sitting at a desk all day. You’ll be out and about in the county, talking to people for feature stories on a menagerie of subjects.

You will get lots of support from News-Chronicle staff, references, and an experience to proudly post on future resumes.

If you are looking for the best summer job in the county, get details by calling Mike Creger at 834-2141 or emailing him at mcreger@lcnewschronicle.com. Parents, teachers, or mentors: If you know of someone who might be right for the job but perhaps a bit shy about dipping their toe into the water, let Mike know and he’ll do some prodding.
