Copy editor/page designer job @ Washington state newspaper

Skagit Publishing seeks a copy editor/page designer with an affinity for sports to join the presentation team for the Skagit Valley Herald and supplemental publications. The daily newspaper has a circulation of 17,000 and is based in Mt. Vernon, Washington.

Candidates with journalism training and pagination software experience, preferably InDesign, will be considered for this Copy Editor 1 position. Duties include editing and design for sports as well as some news and features pages. We want a copy editor who loves words, reveres deadlines and has an artist’s eye for design. Night and weekend shifts required. Full benefits and 401K offered.
