Entry-level writer job @ Moment Magazine

Moment, a 65,000-circulation magazine that covers Jewish culture, lifestyle, politics and religion, is offering a one-year fellowship for a beginning journalist. Position is based in Washington, D.C. and start and end dates are flexible.

Rabbi Harold S. White Fellowship gives a young journalist the opportunity to work alongside the magazine's senior staff, developing his or her magazine journalism skills and becoming more sophisticated in his or her understanding of the Middle East, U.S. politics and other related subjects. The fellow does everything other staff members do, from administrative tasks to researching and writing a major feature story. Some fellows have written several. Fellows will also get exposure on the web via our InTheMoment blog and will have the chance to edit as well. Former fellows have gone on to be hired by The Atlantic and other similar publications. The fellowship requires a one-year commitment. Fellows receive a stipend for the year plus health insurance and work full-time.

To apply, send resume and clips to Sarah Breger, Associate Editor, at editor [at] momentmag.com. Please apply within the next month. Fellowship start date is fluid (within the next few months).
