Journalism internship @ Seattle Business magazine

Seattle Business, Washington state's only business magazine, is seeking editorial interns. Through its monthly print magazine and its website (seattlebusinessmag.com), Seattle Business is a vital source of analysis and perspective on business, economic and policy news. Its principal audience comprises leaders in business and industry, government and academia, health care and high tech, and many other sectors.

Editorial interns at Seattle Business are expected to commit to 20 hours a week for six months on many aspects of magazine production -- from fact-checking stories to researching and writing articles for the magazine and contributing blog items to the website.

The unpaid internships (save for a small stipend at the end) are ideal for college students and recent graduates, but anyone with a good background in writing and research, as well as an interest in the magazine industry and business journalism, will find Seattle Business a stimulating place to gain valuable experience and insight. Our editorial leadership team has decades of experience in journalism, and we have a vested interest in helping our interns grow during their tenure. We tailor our internships so our interns come away with a refined set of skills and some great clips.

Vacancies occur on a rolling basis throughout the year. Still interested? Send a resume and writing samples (published samples preferred, but not required) to Managing Editor, Seattle Business, 1518 First Ave. S., Suite 500, Seattle, WA 98134. Or via e-mail to john.levesque@tigeroak.com.
