Paid summer broadcast journalism internship @ CNN newsroom in Atlanta

CNN, a 24-hour cable news network, is offering a paid summer internship in its Atlanta newsroom. 12-week internship runs from June 4 to August 10, pays minimum wage and college credit is available.

Duties: Complete dubs and log video tape and/or live feeds. Research video, photo, and text content for news segments. Request and coordinate tape feeds. Assist Editorial Producers with prepping for guest arrivals. Assist Associate Producers with daily tasks in relation to the show. Answer the show team's main phone line which includes transferring to the appropriate person and troubleshooting requests. Attend daily show meetings and offer support. Opportunity to pitch story/guest ideas to show team with research. Train on various news operating programs including lexis Nexis, iNews, MediaSource, etc. Mandatory assignment for each intern due at the end of the semester. Be prompt, proactive, courteous, inquisitive, and professional at all times.

Applicants must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, applicants may not have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship.
