Paid summer journalism internship @ Cape Cod Times
The Cape Cod Times, a 41,000-circulation daily newspaper in Hyannis, Mass., is seeking applications for its paid summer news reporting internship.
We are looking for an aggressive reporter who is comfortable writing news stories as well as features. We are seeking an energetic and curious person who can be a team player in our newsroom of about a dozen full-time reporters. The ideal candidate has creative story ideas, and can work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The Cape Cod Times is a collaborative place to work. You will gain experience in a multimedia environment, generate clips for your portfolio, and spend a summer on Cape Cod! Interns in our newsroom work from early June to mid-August, although we can work around the start and end dates needed for your school schedule. Interns generally work Monday through Friday, although the schedule may include some nights and/or weekends.
We pay $10/hour with a 37.5-hour work week. College newspaper reporting experience is expected of our applicants.
