Paid summer reporting internship @ Boulder Daily Camera

The Daily Camera, a 25,000-circulation daily newspaper and website covering Boulder County, Colo., is offering a paid summer reporting internship.

The annual Christopher Anderson Summer Internship is open to college students or recent graduates who are eager for an opportunity to shine in the newsroom, covering hard news, features and trend stories -- both in print and online -- throughout Boulder and its surrounding communities.

Applicants should be enterprising and eager to learn, and be clean, fast and proficient writers, as well as Web savvy and well-versed in the latest online media and social-networking tools. Experience shooting and editing video for the Web is a plus.

This is a paid internship that is 11 weeks long, beginning in May. It's offered in memory of Christopher Anderson, an award-winning Daily Camera reporter killed by a lightning strike in Florida in 2001.

To apply, by January 31, email a cover letter, resume and published clips or writing samples (links to original publications or PDFs of scanned print clips; no text documents, please) to City Editor Matt Sebastian at sebastianm@dailycamera.com.
