Paid summer reporting internship @ Wisconsin newspaper

The Journal Times of Racine, Wis., a 27,000 circulation daily newspaper, is now accepting applications for a 2012 summer internship.

This will be a full-time internship paid at $8.00 per hour.

Our interns do not get coffeee, unless they want a cup. You will be working as a newspaper reporter, covering Racine County. This is an opportunity for you to accumulate plenty of bylines, work hard, have fun and learn a lot.

You will receive intensive on-the-job training, including a focus on online journalism. The goal of the program is to prepare you for the future. Former Journal Times interns have gone on to a variety of national and local media jobs.

Ideal applicants will have some knowledge of the Wisconsin/Illinois region and will have writing experience with a college newspaper or other publication.
