Paid summer journalism internship @ Martha's Vineyard Times

The Martha's Vineyard Times, a 15,000-circulation weekly newspaper in Vineyard Haven, Mass., is offering a paid summer journalism internship. Position pays $400 per week.

We focus on the issues that are important to the year round and seasonal residents of the Island. CEOs and political leaders often share the spotlight, and the news coverage, with local builders and retired year-round residents. The right candidate can attend a weekly selectmen’s meeting, identify the news, and produce a clean and accurate story.

The Times publishes an extensive Calendar section that includes entertainment and feature coverage, to which you would also contribute. The right candidate will also have strong multi-media skills and contribute to mvtimes.com.
