"College Photographer of the Year" contest
Applications are being accepted this month for the College Photographer of the Year contest.
The contest "recognizes outstanding work of students currently working toward a degree. The contest embraces diverse approaches to photojournalism as well as providing a forum for student photographers to gauge their skills against those of their peers."
The winner will receive the $1,000 Col. William Lookadoo award, the $500 Milton Freier award and a paid 14-week internship with National Geographic magazine.
The entry deadline is October 1. Judging takes place in November.
