Summer journalism fellowship in Berlin for U.S. students
A 3-month fellowship this summer in Germany is available for 20 American journalism students. Hurry and apply, though, because the application must be postmarked by January 31.
If selected, you'll tavel to Berlin and spend the first six weeks studying at Freie Universitat Berlin, followed by a five-week intensive internship at a German newspaper, magazine, online news site, TV station or radio station. In the middle of the program, a week is spent touring Germany with students from the former Soviet Union.
The fellowship provides airfare and a generous monthly stipend that more than covers any expenses. The program is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service.
Applicants must be proficient in German. Undergraduate students, including graduating seniors, recent graduates and graduate students are all eligible to apply.
