Entry-level reporter jobs @ Boston newspaper chain

GateHouse Media, a New England newspaper chain, seeks reporters for its newspapers in the northern Boston suburbs.

"We are looking for individuals with a variety of experience, ranging from recent college graduates and individuals looking to re-enter the workforce to experienced community journalists seeking positions of significant responsibility," the ad states. "Both full-time and flexible part-time candidates will be considered. These positions will be based in our centrally located Beverly office. "

Opportunities currently exist for the following newspapers and their associated websites:  Amesbury News; Danvers Herald; Hamilton-Wenham Chronicle; Wakefield Observer. In addition, there are opportunities throughout North of Boston region for freelance writers and interns to work locally in their own communities.  A P/T Editorial Assistant (15 hours per week) is available in our Beverly office:
Must be a proficient typist, versed in AP style and copy editing. Deadline oriented individual will work as part of a team. This is an excellent place for a recent English or journalism graduate to enter the field.
