Full-time Studio Director jobs @ New Jersey & Connecticut TV news stations

News 12 Networks is the country's first, largest, and most watched 24-hour local television news network. The Network is made up of 7 individual local news channels serving the areas of Long Island, New Jersey, Southwestern Connecticut, Westchester County, Hudson Valley, the Bronx, and Brooklyn. News 12 Networks, owned and operated by Cablevision Systems Corporation, is a cable exclusive service, reaching approximately 3.8 million households in the New York market.

News 12 New Jersey & News 12 Connecticut are seeking the right person to ensure quality control and supervision of program production. Aid in developing program visual elements and “look” of set and props. Direct live and taped programming. Overall technical coordination. Assist with scheduling and crew replacement as necessary. Substitute in crew positions as needed. Initiate and follow up on service/repair requests on production equipment. Assure proper video and audio signals as well as maintain high standards of ascetics and use of video effects. Read, interpret and generate rundowns.

Four year degree or equivalent. Minimum of one-year experience as a television director. Newscast experience vital. Strong knowledge of production equipment, and methods and techniques for live & taped productions. Knowledge of video/audio signal, tape dynamics. Ability to work quickly under pressure in an on-air environment. Ability to direct using studio computer automation equipment, PVTV, Ignite.
