Paid summer internships @ Newark Star-Ledger
The Newark Star-Ledger, a 236,000-circulation daily newspaper located near New York City, is offering paid Summer 2011 internships for 12 weeks in news, features, sports, graphics, copy desk and photo departments. May work weekends; car is necessary. Deadline to apply is Nov. 15.
Undergraduates/graduate students with at least one daily print internship or strong college newspaper experience, preferably as a top editor, are eligible to apply.

Application packages must include a cover letter, resume, five story or copy editing clips, the names and phone numbers of three references and a 500-word essay: Why I Want to be a Print Journalist.
Clips must be on 8 ½ by 11-inch paper only; CDs preferred for graphic and photography candidates.
