Paid internship @ Glamour magazine

Glamour, a 2 million-circulation fashion magazine, is seeking college juniors or seniors for a summer editorial internship in its New York City office.

Interns will assist editors with story research, reporting and pre-interviews, transcribing, and doing some administrative tasks. Interns are encouraged to pitch story ideas, and there is potential to write for the magazine or web site.

You should have had a previous internship at a magazine or other professional publication and should be serious and knowledgeable about topics relevant to women’s health/pop culture/current events. The candidate MUST be enrolled in college and be able to receive school credit (sorry, no exceptions).

Summer interns work five days a week, so please do not apply if you can’t make that commitment. Start mid-late May or early June, through August or September. Conde Nast offers a small daily stipend for interns.

To apply, submit a cover letter describing why you are right for this internship, resume, relevant clips and any letters of recommendation to Marina Khidekel with “summer internship” in the subject line at marina_khidekel[at]glamour.com. Please be sure to note: 1. whether you can receive course credit 2. your year level in school 3. your availability (when you can start and end the internship) 4. your previous experience in journalism, including internships and campus publications.
