Paid full-time fashion journalism internship in NYC

StyleList.com, an AOL-owned website on fashion, beauty and style with 9 million unique visitors per month, is offering a paid internship in its Home section.

The hands-on internship is 40 hours per week and based in Manhattan. Pay is $10 per hour. The intern will writing and produce web content covering home, fashion, and style. Internship is available immediately, so apply ASAP.

Training will be provided on AOL’s proprietary publishing system, but some experience creating web pages and using basic HTML and Photoshop is a plus. Must have some editorial experience in print or online, and demonstrable knowledge of fashion and home.

A pro-active, detail-oriented intern will have the opportunity to grow and acquire solid real-world new media and editorial skills. Duties/responsibilities would include: contributing content to the site; creating slideshows; running occasional errands for the department; contacting PR contacts for images/press releases; and possibly attending events in our stead

Paid internship @ Glamour magazine

Glamour, a 2 million-circulation fashion magazine, is seeking college juniors or seniors for a summer editorial internship in its New York City office.

Interns will assist editors with story research, reporting and pre-interviews, transcribing, and doing some administrative tasks. Interns are encouraged to pitch story ideas, and there is potential to write for the magazine or web site.

You should have had a previous internship at a magazine or other professional publication and should be serious and knowledgeable about topics relevant to women’s health/pop culture/current events. The candidate MUST be enrolled in college and be able to receive school credit (sorry, no exceptions).
