Paid broadcast journalism internships available nationwide

Paid year-round internships at TV stations and shows such as Fox LA, CBS News, and ABC’s 20/20, are available through the the Institute for Humane Studies.

Interns receive a $3,200 stipend for an eight-week internship. They also get a travel allowance to get to the internship. There's a six-day journalism workshop, featuring acclaimed journalists from The Atlantic and Reason Magazine, plus academic lectures on topics such as the history of the free press and working with statistics. Interns also receive job placement assistance from the program director, a former journalist.

IHS places interns at broadcast journalism media outlets, but applicants can also find their own unpaid internship and seek a stipend through the program.

Advanced undergraduates, recent graduates, and graduate students of all majors, including political science and economics majors are eligible. Ideal candidates will have an interest in individual liberty and freemarkets. If you have an eye for news--especially covering private initiative versus government programs--apply today.

For more info or to apply online, visit http://www.theihs.org/ihs-journalism-internship-program/broadcast. Deadline to apply is  January 31 for summer placements.
