Patch.com offering paid summer journalism internships nationwide

Patch.com, a nationwide chain of hyperlocal news sites owned by AOL and Huffington Post, is now accepting applications for full-time, paid summer internships where you'll gain valuable experience working as a journalist.

As an intern, you will:
* Pitch and write stories
* Attend weekly editorial meetings
* Shoot and edit photos and video
* Cover town and school board meetings, court hearings and local businesses
* Attend community outreach events
* Execute social media strategies

Applications are due by March 15. In order to apply, you must be a junior, senior or graduate student or a recent graduate (May 2011 or later).  For more info and to apply, visit www.patch.com/jobs and click on "Students/Interns: Editorial" and select "Intern" in the Position Type field. Patch's editorial internship positions are located across the country, so be sure to apply to the one(s) closest to you.
