Paid summer internship @ Fox Sports in Dallas
Fox Sports Southwest is offering a paid TV production internship this summer in Irving, Texas.
Department Description: The production department is responsible for producing all pregame and postgame shows; special projects such as 'Spotlight' and 'In My Own Words' and all magazine shows.
Current projects and tasks that will be assigned to the intern(s): Grip for photographers, help gather material for producers, log games and melts and hone editing skills.
Learning Objectives: Editing, practice on-camera skills, acquire basic producing skills and learn how to record games.
Qualifications: Currently be enrolled as an undergrad in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Journalism or Broadcast Journalism. Previous intern experience is a plus. Editing or interviewing skills will also preferred.
Fox Sports Network produces over 5,000 live local events each year, including more than 3,200 in high definition, making FSN the most prolific producers of HD Sports programming in the country. In addition, FSN televises national sports events and programs, including Pac-10 and ACC basketball and Pac-10 and Big 12 football.
