USA Today has a news reporter opening. 

Applicants should have "at least five years of national or major metro reporting experience," the ad states. "Interested college graduates should have demonstrated ability to break major stories, produce compelling enterprise and write tightly constructed stories for online and print. Experience writing effective government watchdog stories, producing articles with impact, working with databases and using alternative storytelling techniques, such as video or Web-based graphics, is a plus."

Year-round internships @ USA Today

The USA Today, the most read daily newspaper in the U.S., offers journalism internships year-round at its Washington, D.C. area headquarters in various sections: News, Opinion, Money, Sports, Travel, Life. In addition, internships are also available in multimedia, photography, page layout/design, weather, copy editing, online and the New York bureau.

Because the internships are unpaid, only students who can receive academic credit for the internship are eligible. Standard minimum work commitment is 15-20 hours, two to three days a week for 12 weeks.
