Paid internships @ Skiing magazine
Skiing magazine, a Boulder, Colo.-based magazine focused on skiing, is offering 12-week paid internships in reporting and photojournalism during the summer and fall.
Interns receive a $1,200 stipend for 3 months. Their duties include: article research, fact checking, proofreading, writing articles, calling in gear for testing, participating in staff editorial meetings, and interviewing subjects.
"We try to keep the grunt work (shipping, filing, etc) to a minimum," the posting states. "Skiing Magazine is a small staff (four editors and two art directors), so interns work closely with staffers."
If interested in a writing/reporting internship, e-mail resume, cover letter and writing samples to: megan.michelson@bonniercorp.com. For photography internships, e-mail resume, cover letter and portfolio to: Niall@skiingmag.com.
