Paid summer internships @ newspaper chain
Wick Communications, a chain of 28 community newspapers in the West and South, is offering paid summer internships for reporting, photojournalism and graphics and page design.
The 12-week internships pay $360 a week plus overtime, with a travel allowance of $400 if you need to relocate for the summer and an additional $400 a month living expense allowance if needed.
To apply, click here and complete the application form that downloads. In addition, submit a resume, three to five published clips, photos, or pages representative of your best work to date (more may be submitted if you want), a letter of recommendation from a current academic adviser or professor, and an essay no longer than 300 words explaining why you are seeking this opportunity and your career plans.
Applications must be received by April 30, although interns may be selected before then so apply ASAP.
