Paid Washington, D.C. journalism internships

The Koch Internship Program takes place in Washington, DC, and participants work in substantive, paid roles at one of our dozens of non-profit partner organizations that work to further economic freedom. The interns not only get paid to explore a career in economic freedom, but also engage in professional education, networking opportunities, and receive continued career guidance after the program. Both students and graduates at all academic levels have participated and are encouraged to apply.

A variety of journalism and communication positions are available including: video production, coordinating social media projects, drafting press releases, investigative journalism, reporting, blogging, editing, broadcast journalism and online content creation.

The spring Koch Internship Program application deadline is December 15, 2011 and the program runs from January 23, 2012 to May 4, 2012. The summer Koch Internship Program application deadline is March 1, 2012 and the program runs from June 4, 2012 to August 17, 2012.

Roles vary, and include a variety of fields from policy analysis to communications to non-profit operations. Interns generally decide to work 20-40 hours per week and earn $10.00 per hour and $50.00 per month in Metro benefits.
