The Deseret News, a 70,000 circulation daily newspaper in Salt Lake City, Utah, is offering paid journalism internships.

Some internships are full-time (40 hours a week); some 16- to 24-hour part-time internships also are available and may include flexibility to work around class schedules. Each pays $8 an hour. • NEW MEDIA: Formatting and generating content for deseretnews.com and associated websites. Aptitude for website design and development helpful. Full-time and part-time internships.

• MORMON TIMES & FEATURES: News and information for and about members of the LDS Church, plus general-interest arts, entertainment, lifestyles, home and garden, crafts, family issues, food and leisure. Work includes writing and managing online content. Full- or part-time internships.
  
  
• CHURCH NEWS (an official publication of the LDS Church): news and information for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Full-time internship.
  
  
• BUSINESS: Reporting on local and national business topics including innovation, entrepreneurship, money & politics, career, technology and financial responsibility. Prefer background with finance/accounting/economics.

Paid summer journalism internships @ Salt Lake Tribune

The Salt Lake Tribune, a 106,000-circulation daily newspaper in Utah, has a paid summer internship program that places interns in its newsroom full time for 10 weeks each summer, working in a variety of different roles.

The start and end dates of the 10-week period are flexible but the internship generally begins in early June and ends in mid-August. Pay is $500 per week.

Interns are expected to have their own transportation and to find housing during their internships.

Paid internship @ St. Lake City Deseret News

The Deseret News, a 70,000 circulation daily newspaper in Salt Lake City, Utah, is looking for a full-time intern(or a couple part-timers) to focus on business and financial topics.

The ideal applicant will have a background in economics or finance and be a strong writer. A journalism background is not required. We're looking for someone who is resourceful, enjoys data and can get to the point quickly.The position will focus on finding business trends, scouring financial and government reports and interviewing local executives to show why the news matters. Really, we want someone who knows what's going on in finance and economics (in Utah and the U.S.). MS Excel and Bloomberg Terminal experience is a plus. And yes, we pay.

Paid internship @ Salt Lake City radio station

KUER-90.1 FM, NPR's affiliate in Salt Lake City, is offering a paid internship.

Internship is two full days a week and provides a $500 stipend. Intern will write and produce news spots for local newscasts during Morning Edition and All Things Considered. Strong basic news writing skills, radio production skills welcome but not required.
