Paid radio news summer internship in Alaska

KFSK, NPR's affiliate radio station in southeast Alaska, is offering a paid summer internship. The 2 to 3 month internship provides basic housing at the radio station, round trip airfare from within the United States, and a $100 per week stipend. It's a very hands-on experience.

"The successful applicant will work full-time as a reporter/producer and will also host local news, weather, community announcements and station breaks during NPR's morning edition," the ad states. "They will perform a variety of other station duties as assigned. The intern may cover a variety of topics of local, regional and statewide interest. There are plenty of opportunities for features and natural sound pieces."

Radio reporter job @ NPR's San Francisco station

KRCB 91.1 FM, an NPR affiliate in the Bay Area, seeks a part-time radio reporter/producer and web journalist. Applicant should have at least two years broadcast news experience, write exceptionally well, and be skilled in digital audio editing, ideally with ProTools experience.

The successful candidate will be fluent in social media, knowledgeable about current events in the North Bay, and be able to juggle multiple deadlines.
